TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR!

Get your tickets here for the biggest event of the school year! We have lowered the ticket price this year, to encourage more AVES families to attend and to bring your friends. $25 per person will purchase a basic ticket, which includes admission, light appetizers, entertainment, and 5 tickets to get your gaming started. A $40 super ticket, which includes all of the above, plus an extra 20 chips, for total of 25 tickets (a $5 discount!). Don't forget to purchase a ticket for each person attending!

Fall Carnival!

Join us on Friday October 21, for one of our most memorable events of the year! Attractions include games, face painting, bouncy house, baked potato bar, popcorn, prizes, and more. Costumes are welcome!

Meal tickets ($2.50 each) and game tickets (10 for $5) can be purchased separately below. Be sure to buy enough meal tickets for the whole family soon, as we are limited this year to 240 total meals.  

If you'd like to buy game tickets and meal tickets ahead of time, simply click the Add to Cart button, then click Continue Shopping at the bottom of the page. Tickets purchased online will be ready at the door. Order ahead to skip the line!

Finally, if you can't attend the event, but want to enhance your child's learning experience at AVES by supporting teachers, classrooms, and educational programs, donations are accepted at all times. Just fill in your donation amount below and click Donate.

Welcome to a new year at AVE!

Our 2016-2017 school year is off to a great start, with lots of fun events and fundraisers planned. 

Join us for the annual Fall Carnival on October 21st, 5:30-7:30 pm. This is the kids' favorite night of the year, with food, games, prizes, face painting, a bouncy house, and more! Wear your costume for even more fall fun! 

We will begin a new take-home winter fundraiser this year, with wonderful gift wrap and small gift ideas arriving in time for the holidays. Online ordering will be available for those out of town friends and relatives. Keep an eye out for the fundraising packets!

Spirit Store order forms are now available for purchasing AVE tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, and more. Order forms have been sent home in Friday Folders, or are available outside the ABC office in the school front hallway.

1ST ANNUAL SPRING FUN RUN

The ABC is excited to announce a new event this year, the Spring Fun Run! 

The Fun Run will be held on Friday, May 13, 1:45 - 2:30 pm. The students will be running a course on the school grounds, nature trail, and through the school, with some fun obstacles thrown in. 

This is a fundraising event, with students bringing home pledge envelopes the week before. Students are encouraged to collect pledges based on laps run, and also flat donation amounts. 

PRIZES will be given to the top runners overall (1 girl, 1 boy), top runners per grade (1 girl, 1 boy), and the top pledge-earning class. 

We need PARENTS to help out with the event, and we also encourage parents to attend and participate with their children. 

This year, the event is being held on the last day of the spring Book Fair, so please stop by the libarary for some books after the Run!

Casino Night 2016

The 5th Annual ABC Casino NIght Fundraiser was a smashing success! Our awesome ABC members, AVE staff and parents, and Durango community members had a great time at the tables and dancing the night away! 

A HUGE thanks to all the local businesses who donated the fantastic silent auction and raffle prize items. Thanks also to the room parents, teachers, and kids who created amazing artwork for the silent auction. Thank you Dalton Ranch for everything! 

And a GIANT thank you to all the hard-working ABC members who helped make this great night happen!

Casino Night 2016!

Our annual Casino Night fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2016. The event will be held at the Dalton Ranch Clubhouse, 7-11 pm.

The Casino Night fundraiser is a fun night of casino games, cocktails, and dancing, FOR THE GROWN-UPS! Goods and services from local merchants, classroom art projects, and out-of-town getaways will be up for bid in the silent auction. Win other great raffle prizes with your casino winnings. 

This is a fantastic event to unwind with the AVE staff, parents, and community members. Enjoy some good-natured gaming and help support AVE at our largest fundraiser of the year. 

Tickets will be $40 each and can be purchased in advance online or at the door. 

AVE Spirit Store now open!

The ABC has started a spirit store, selling great AVE merchandise! 

We have school decals, water bottles, knit beanies, teeshirts, sweatshirts, and zip-up hoodies for the whole family. Items range in price from $2 to $35. 

Unlike our previous campaigns with a limited external online store, proceeds from the new ABC Spirit Store will directly benefit AVE. Your purchase will help the ABC support new technology and various programs to keep our school on top.

The store will be open before and after school, the first Monday of each month. You may also make a purchase by contacting the ABC at any time, in person or via email.

Winter Clothing Exchange

The Animas Valley Booster Club will be holding a winter clothing swap beginning Tuesday, November 10th, in the AVE All Purpose room. 

In the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Break, please bring in your clean, gently used winter clothing items. This is a clothing swap for all, feel free to take what you need, and/or donate what you can! 

Giving Thanks at AVES

Our Thanksgiving festivities are scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th this year. They will include a 5th grade performance, the Turkey Trot and our Thanksgiving lunch to be held at your student's regular lunch time.

This year, the turkeys will be freshly roasted by the local restaurant Eolus, and will be trimmed with roasted root veggies, mashed potatoes and finished with a pumpkin souffle. We’d love to have you join us! More information and payment information will be coming home soon, so check the news page and calendar for regular updates.

Book Fair!

Our fall book fair is coming up tomorrow and running through next Thursday. As always, we appreciate all of our parent volunteers who help things run smoothly, while our students purchase awesome reading material and we earn rewards for our school! If you'd like to volunteer, please sign up here.
